  • Actuated Valve
  • Welded or Bolted Body
  • Metal to Metal or Soft Seated
  • All types of end connections: BW, SW, NPT and Flanges

Cryogenic Testing Process

Cryogenic testing is essential for valves operating in temperatures down to -196°C, ensuring tight sealing, operational integrity, and material stability. Each valve is submerged, actuated, and monitored to simulate actual service conditions. All results are recorded digitally and validated by trained engineers.

Mechanical Testing Capabilities

In addition to cryogenic validation, Ohtori conducts material and pressure testing to ensure structural integrity and compliance.

  • Pressure Testing
Hydrostatic & Pneumatic Tests Verifies body strength and sealing integrity Follows API 598, ASME B16.34 standards
  • Tensile Testing
Determines yield strength, tensile strength, and elongation Conducted per ASTM A370
  • Hardness Testing
Confirms surface strength and heat treatment consistency
    Methods include Brinell and Rockwell
  • Impact Testing
Assesses toughness and resistance to fracture at low temperatures
Crucial for materials used in cryogenic or arctic applications
Conducted per ASTM E23, often at -46°C or -196°C
